• Your privacy is very important to us. Biotech Forecast is committed to protecting and respecting your privacy. This Privacy Statement sets out our privacy policy and explains what we do with the personal information that we collect from you. Please read the following to understand our practices regarding personal information and how they affect you as you use our features and services. BrainFood Ventures, LLC through its Biotech Forecast web site collects information in different ways from Visitors and Members who access the various parts of our Services. We use this information primarily to provide a customized experience as you use our Services, and generally do not share this information with third parties. However, we may disclose personal information collected if we have received your permission beforehand or in very special circumstances, such as when we believe that law requires such disclosure or other special cases described below. By visiting the Biotech Forecast website, you are accepting the practices outlined in this Privacy Policy.

What Does This Privacy Policy Cover?
This Privacy Policy covers Biotech Forecast’s treatment of personal information that Biotech Forecast gathers when you are on the Biotech Forecast website and when you use Biotech Forecast services. This policy does not apply to the practices of third parties that Biotech Forecast does not own or control, or to individuals that Biotech Forecast does not employ or manage.

How Do We Respect Children’s Privacy?
Biotech Forecast is not directed at children under the age of 13. Biotech Forecast is operated in compliance with the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act and will not knowingly collect or use personally identifiable information from anyone under 13.

What Personal Information About Users Does Biotech Forecast Collect?
    1. Information You Provide to Us:
We receive and store any information you enter on our website or provide to us in any other way. You can choose not to provide us with certain information, but then you may not be able to take advantage of many of our features. The personal information you provide is used for such purposes as registration. In order for you to use Biotech Forecast services, such as posting reviews or comments, or following favorites you must complete a registration form. As part of this registration form, we require your email address. Biotech Forecast allows other users to browse information that you have submitted or commented on. This information is made available in many areas of Biotech Forecast including your member profile, reviews, blog posts, and comments. Biotech Forecast may choose to post this data on other site features in the future. Biotech Forecast allows other users to see the information within your member profile should you provide this optional information.

    2. Automatic Information:
We receive and store certain types of information whenever you interact with us. Biotech Forecast automatically receives and records certain “traffic data” on our server logs from your browser including your IP address, Biotech Forecast cookie information, and the page you requested. Biotech Forecast uses this traffic data to help diagnose problems with its servers, analyze trends and administer the website. Biotech Forecast may also add, on any page, the total number of times that page has been viewed.

    Biotech Forecast Partners and Sponsors
Some Biotech Forecast products and services are offered in conjunction with a non-affiliated partner. To provide you with some of these products and services, the partner may need to collect and maintain personal information. In these instances, you will be notified before any such data is collected or transferred and may decide not to use that particular service or feature. Biotech Forecast may need to share non-identifying and aggregate information (except as described above), but not personal information, with such partners in order to administer the co-branded products or services offered.

    Online Advertisements
Biotech Forecast may display online advertisements. We share aggregated and non-identifying information about our Visitors and Members collected through the registration process as well as through online surveys and promotions with these advertisers. Additionally, in some instances, we use this aggregated and non-identifying information to deliver tailored advertisements. For instance, an advertiser might tell us the audience they want to reach and provide us with an advertisement tailored to that audience. Based upon the aggregated and non-identifying information we have collected, we may then display the advertisement to the intended audience. However, Biotech Forecast does not share personal information about its Visitors or Members with these advertisers.

Email Marketing From Third Party Sponsors
In addition, from time to time, Biotech Forecast sends, on behalf of third parties, promotions via email to some or all of its subscribers. However, in no event does Biotech Forecast sell or otherwise transfer to third parties the email addresses of its subscribers. Biotech Forecast strictly maintains the confidentiality of its subscribers’ email addresses. In addition, users are always given the opportunity of opting-out of these promotions.

    Responses to Email Inquiries
When Visitors or Members send email inquiries to Biotech Forecast or use the Contact Us page, we use the return email address to answer the email inquiry we receive. Biotech Forecast does not use the return email address for any other purpose and does not share the return email address with any third party.

    Voluntary Customer Surveys
We may periodically conduct both business and individual customer surveys. We encourage our customers to participate in these surveys because they provide us with important information that helps us to improve the types of services we offer and how we provide them to you. Your personal information and responses will remain strictly confidential, even if a third party conducts the survey. Participation in our customer surveys is voluntary. We take the information we receive from individuals responding to our Customer Surveys and combine (or aggregate) it with the responses from other Biotech Forecast customers to create broader, generic responses to the survey questions (such as gender, age, education, employment, industry sector, or other demographic information). We then use the aggregated information to improve the quality of our services to you, and to develop new services and products. This aggregated; non-personally-identifying information may be shared with third parties.

    Special Cases
It is Biotech Forecast’s policy not to use or share personal information about Visitors or Members in ways unrelated to the ones described above without also providing you an opportunity to opt out or otherwise prohibit such unrelated uses. However, Biotech Forecast may disclose personal information about Visitors or Members, or information regarding your use of the Services or Web sites accessible through our Services, for any reason if, in our sole discretion, we believe that it is reasonable to do so, including: to satisfy laws, such as the Electronic Communications Privacy Act, regulations, or governmental or legal requests for such information; to disclose information that is necessary to identify, contact, or bring legal action against someone who may be violating our Terms of Use or other user policies; to operate the Services properly; or to protect Biotech Forecast and our Members.
